FTW LLC warrants to the original purchaser that every Hopper® drone will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for the lifetime of the product.
Effective July 29, 2026. This version supersedes all prior versions and applies to every Covered Product, including Hoppers purchased before this date.
"Covered Products" are any FTW Hopper® drones sold by FTW LLC directly or through an Authorized Reseller. This warranty applies to defects discovered within the Warranty Period while the product remains in the possession of the original purchaser.
The Warranty Period is the LIFETIME of the Covered Product starting from the date of original purchase, as documented by valid proof of purchase.
If a defect arises and a valid claim is received within the Warranty Period, FTW LLC will, at its option:
You may be responsible for shipping charges for the delivery of a repaired or replacement product. Any replacement will be warranted for the remainder of the original Warranty Period.

Submit a Warranty Claim →Hopper is a student built aircraft. Its parts are individual components and are intended to be inspected, removed, and replaced on site by owners, educators, and students as part of normal use.
Replacing user serviceable components using FTW supplied parts does not affect this warranty. This includes, without limitation, propellers, propeller guards, motors, batteries, screws and fasteners, and the reinstallation of a control board that FTW has repaired or replaced.
Operating Hopper with flight programs written by the user, including programs created on the Build Fly Code® platform, is an intended use of the product and does not affect this warranty.
The following repairs are performed only by FTW LLC or its authorized representatives. Attempting them on site is not covered:
Where FTW makes an approved service kit available for any repair listed above, performing that repair on site using the FTW supplied kit and instructions does not affect this warranty.
This warranty does not cover consumable parts (e.g. batteries), software or firmware, or defects caused by:

This Lifetime Limited Product Warranty is governed by the laws of California, USA. No employee of FTW LLC or any Authorized Reseller is authorized to make any modification or addition to this warranty.
